FAQ

Questions drivers ask us

If yours isn’t here, ask it on the first call.

What should I do in the first few days?

Write down what you remember while it’s fresh, keep every paper the officer gave you, and call a lawyer before the license-hearing deadline passes. Don’t post about it or discuss it with anyone but your lawyer.

How long do I have to ask for a license hearing?

Only a short time, counted in days from the arrest, and the exact rule depends on the state and the test. We’ll tell you your date on the first call and file for it straight away.

I refused the breath test. Does that help or hurt?

Both, in different ways. A refusal can mean less evidence in court but its own license consequences. We deal with both sides.

Why flat fees?

Because people charged at night don’t want a meter running. You know the price of each stage before you start, and it doesn’t change.

What isn’t included?

Anything paid to someone else: fines, court costs, bond, classes, an interlock device or an expert. The fees page lists them.

Can you really handle a case without meeting me?

Yes. Most of our clients we meet only on video. Where a court wants you there in person, one of us goes with you.

Which courts do you go to?

State and municipal courts across the state, and the administrative license hearings. If a court is far from Atlanta, it’s in the fee.

Will my case be dismissed?

We can’t promise that, and no lawyer honestly can. We can tell you what the evidence shows and what each choice is likely to mean, before you make it.
