DUI and traffic defense, Atlanta and statewide by video

Charged after midnight. A lawyer by morning.

Flat-fee defense for DUI, license hearings, commercial drivers and traffic tickets. Meet a lawyer by video this evening, and have the whole fee in writing before you sign anything.

Flat fees

What sets the fee, written down before you decide

Each fee is the lawyer’s whole charge for the stage it names, however many calls and court dates it takes. What a court or a lab bills is separate, and we tell you what it usually runs before you sign.

  • A traffic ticket

One flat fee per citation, in one court. It moves with the points on the table, not with the number of calls.

    • A read of the citation and your driving record

    • Talks with the prosecutor about the charge and the points

    • Appearing for you where the court allows it

    How we handle tickets
  • A first DUI

From the request for a license hearing to the last court date short of a jury trial. A jury trial is quoted as its own flat fee.

    • Asking for the license hearing before the deadline

    • Police reports, test results and video, read line by line

    • Every court date and hearing before trial

    Book a DUI consult
  • A commercial driver

A DUI or serious traffic charge where the license on the line is also the job. The fee follows the federal disqualification rules.

    • Everything in the first-charge DUI fee

    • A plan for the federal disqualification rules

    • A letter for your employer, if you want one

    For CDL holders

Each fee covers one case in one court. Fines, court costs, bond, classes and expert fees are paid separately.

What we take

Four kinds of case, and nothing else

No divorces, no wills, no injury claims. Every lawyer here spends the whole week on driving charges.

Downtown towers and a Ferris wheel beyond the lawn of a city park
  • DUI defense

First, second and later charges, including drugs, refusals and an accident with the arrest.

    How we defend a DUI
  • License hearings

The short deadline after an arrest, and the hearing that decides whether you keep driving meanwhile.

    About the hearing
  • Commercial drivers

Charges that put a CDL at risk, on duty or off, where losing the license means losing the work.

    For CDL holders
  • Traffic tickets

Speeding, reckless driving and the points that add up to a suspension.

Clients

What clients said once it was over

“I called at ten at night from a parking lot. By lunch the next day I had the fee in writing and they’d already asked for my license hearing.”

Dashiell R.DUI, first charge

“My job is my CDL. Soren walked me through the disqualification rules in plain words and never once told me it would be fine. The fee didn’t move.”

Tamar O.Commercial driver

“I live four hours away and got the ticket passing through. I never had to drive back for court.”

Questions

Asked in the first ten minutes

How soon do I need to act after a DUI arrest?

Sooner than most people expect. To ask for the hearing that decides whether you keep driving while the case goes on, there’s a short deadline counted in days from the arrest, and it passes quietly. Call before you do anything else and we’ll tell you the date that applies to you.

Is the flat fee really the whole fee?

For our work, yes. The fee covers every call, letter and court date in the stage it names. Fines, court costs, bond, classes and any expert are paid to someone else, and we tell you roughly what they run before you sign.

Do I have to come to Atlanta?

No. We meet by video, and many courts let us appear for you or let you join by video. When a court needs you there in person, one of us is there with you.

Can you promise I’ll keep my license?

No lawyer can promise that, or a dismissal. What we can do is tell you what the evidence looks like, what your choices are and what each one costs, before you choose.

Book a video consult

Send the charge, the county and the court date

We’ll write back with a time to talk on video and the flat fee that fits. Evenings are fine; most of our calls happen after work.

HoursVideo meetings Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Please don’t describe what happened yet; we’ll ask on the call. Sending this doesn’t make us your lawyers.
